Top electronic components distributor TTI, Inc., and Midwest regional electronic components distributor TLC made key personnel announcements recently.
TTI promoted Susan Sumners to senior vice president, information services. Sumners replaces David Minter, senior vice president business administration and information services, who will retire from TTI after 32 years of service, the company said.
Sumners has 20 years’ experience at TTI, having led the development of the company’s Europe and Asia systems and TTI Express along with the integration of many acquisitions into the TTI system. Effectively immediately, Sumners will manage TTI’s IT services for North America, Europe, and Asia.
“Susan brings a wealth of experience to her new management role,” TTI’s CEO Paul Andrews said in announcing the promotion. “During her 20 years at TTI, she has demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities and the ability to manage a multitude of high-profile projects for the company.”
In related news, TTI also announced its receipt of the prestigious Global Distributor of the Year Award in the broad-line distributor category from TE Connectivity. This is the fifth time in six years that TTI has received the award, which was presented to the TTI executive team during the TE Global Distribution Summit meeting in San Francisco earlier this year.
