Top distributor keeps up the momentum as National Engineers Week winds down, sponsoring programs at Fort Worth’s Museum of Science and History

Distributors and manufacturers across the country are participating in National Engineers Week, which runs through Saturday, February 23, and is being marked with special programs, activities and contests at schools, libraries, museums and other venues nationwide. In Texas, Fort Worth-based Mouser Electronics is marking the occasion by sponsoring programs at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History that demonstrate how much fun engineering can be.

At the museum, Mouser is hosting a variety of engineering challenges and activities, branded “Imaginer Studio,” where visitors can learn how engineering affects everyday life. Mouser says its goal is to spark imaginations, particularly those of future design engineers, while demonstrating the latest technologies.

“We are excited by this opportunity to inspire the next generation of engineers through events like Engineers Week that promote and enhance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education programs,” Kevin Hess, Mouser’s vice president of technical marketing said earlier this week. “One of the great challenges facing our country, industry and company is developing the future technical workforce. We believe it is programs like this that help shape the innovators, inventors and scientists that will create the technological wonders that will wow us.”

Mouser’s sponsorship includes financial, in-kind and volunteer support for thousands of engineering-related programs at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.
